My late father Isaac Brown was born on 6 th December 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland and died in Leeds
on 1st March 2003 aged 79. He was born after his father died and unusually for an Ashkenazi Jew, he
was called after his late father who died 6 weeks before he was born. His Hebrew name was Yitzchak
Ben Yitzchak. He was a proud Scotsman who proudly wore a tartan Kippah. He was also very proud
of his family especially of his grandchildren and after working in finance for most of his working life
in Glasgow, retired to Leeds to be near his son and family. He was a wonderful father, husband,
grandfather and father in law and had a keen sense of humour. He is deeply missed by a wide circle
of family and friends and is still missed to this very day.
